The Aura 51 is the first Fountaine Pajot model to be equipped with electric motors and an intelligent on-board energy management system in her Smart Electric® version. With only one internal combustion engine for 2 electric motor, the Aura 51 is slowly moving towards all-electricity. This Aura 51, the new model from Fountaine-Pajot, differs from her 4,000 predecessors by the new technology she carries. The advances involve the two pods, one under each hull, that propel the boat at the same time as their hydrogenerator is producing electricity, in addition to the energy provided by the solar panels.

We started the smart electric project more than a year ago. Fountaine Pajot partnered with several French companies, recognized for their expertise in power electronics, energy management, and marine propulsion. Our objective was not only to design a boat with an electric motor, but we also wanted to develop a new approach by designing a fully electric boat offering a new experience in life on board and the use of the boat.

AURA 51 | Eco catamaran experience

It’s a whole new experience for our customers, a zero-emissions experience, an experience marked by silence! This ambitious project proves the capacity of the Fountaine Pajot group to move quickly towards the elimination of carbon from our cruising. The architecture of this system incorporates powerful and highly efficient electric motors tailor-made for our boats, they are equipped with fixed or folding propellers designed specifically to optimize performance. These motors are also designed to produce the maximum energy in a hydrogeneration mode under sail.

To allow complete management of energy on board, we have also developed tailor-made electronics to manage all the energy flows of the catamaran. Energy for propulsion, as well as Energy for life on board in direct or alternating current. The system also manages the boat’s energy production, including solar panels, hydrogeneration and, if necessary, automatic production by the single generator! We use high-capacity lithium batteries for storage, allowing several hours of motoring and ensuring high levels of self-sufficiency when at anchor!

In addition, fully custom-developed software allows you to control the entire system. It integrates a new complementary interface to manage the propulsion, but also the consumption and production of energy in real time! The Aura 51 Smart Electric is the result of collaborative work carried out by more than 60 technicians, engineers, electrical experts, who have actively worked for several months to develop a unique experience.

IY 43 veloce is the first in the series of powerboats signed Italia Yachts. To inaugurate the series Italia Yachts focused on brand characterization: IY 43 veloce follows the same philosophy as the sailboats characterized by extreme recognizability in its classic and extremely modern and elegant lines.

The design was born based on the shipyard’s extensive experience in the sailing world. It takes up its basic concepts also in the ability to navigate in any weather conditions, well sheltered from the water.safety . Hence the need to study a stable hull that would guarantee excellent seakeeping.

It is a boat of extreme character where safety, comfort, and practicality ensure full enjoyment, whatever its use: for a day at sea with the family, a tour of the Mediterranean or the Bahamas, or a few hours with friends.

Extraordinarily versatile and transforming, with opening terraces on either side of the cockpit, the fast IY 43 offers space and livability, usually available on larger boats.

The design comes from the Skyron studio and the Italia Yachts Design Team, on a hull capable of making exhilarating fun with a speed range of 35 to 40 knots, with twin inboard Volvo IPS diesel or two-three Mercury outboards propulsion.

It is the design of the deckhouse, reflected in the hull line, that strongly characterizes IY 43 fast. The classic hull brings a sign of modernity in the sheer line to create a stunning look and symmetry with the hardtop. The hardtop provides excellent protection from the elements and shelter while cruising. The hardtop can still provide more shade by extending the integrated sunshade.

The sheer leads to a high bow with ample flare, intentionally ensuring safety on board, in any condition, and keeping the deck dry while underway. Under the hardtop, the cockpit is modular to allow for the best configuration for your day on the water, with sofas that leave the side walkways free, equipped with movable backrests and a central table that can be folded down to become one large sunpad. With the cockpit terraces open and the unobstructed stern, the space multiplies to be the central point of life aboard for children or a comfortable beach for guests on board.

Below deck, the IY 43 Veloce does not betray expectations; it maintains the family feeling of all Italia Yachts, a modern elegance made of clean lines and light materials pleasing to the eye and the touch. The interior layout includes choosing between a master cabin in the bow and twin beds in the full-beam mid-ship cabin; two cabins with double beds; or a full-beam mid-ship master cabin and, in the bow, a large living area with table and wrap-around seating.

The Swan OverShadow is based on the high-performing hull of the Swan Shadow, which is particularly efficient and seaworthy, and features an inboard engine and two alternative layout configurations upper and below deck.

The flush deck offers great livability with an external wet bar / galley, and an over 2-meter-long sunbed. A very generous dining area deploys around the sofas for a convivial vibe. The ample space on the deck has been made possible by positioning the sunbed more aft over the inboard engines. This also frees up the stern area, providing a more functional aft deck for the driver to maneuver, making the boat easier to handle.

The stern platform has the same functionality as in the Swan Shadow, with three positions: central position for driving, upper position serving as a passarelle, and below water level position for easier access to the water when swimming or doing watersports.

“The Nautor Swan heritage and the Design DNA of their vessels were already well known to me and the team, having worked on the design of the ClubSwan 50 previously in collaboration with Nautor and Juan K. We understood the main design features to carry over from the Swan performance racing yachts and incorporated into this power boat design. This is a leap to a different product category to what Nautor is accustomed to, and a lot of thought also went into thinking about the lifestyle and the different use cases for these vessels. Together we wanted to create something sporty and fun, without compromising on the elegance customers have grown to expect from a Swan. Performance is an equally important part of Nautor’s heritage, and this needs to be factored in when designing the product. We have different options in the range from a short and light-weight T-top to a more substantial, convertible Limousine tender. We also use a bolt-on system on deck that allows for multiple different furniture layouts. There are several innovative elements in the design, all aimed at enhancing the experience for the Owner.
Nautor’s Design DNA is built on a strong heritage and Swan Shadow has to meet the expectations of a clientele accustomed to luxury and performance sailing yachts. The design of Shadow incorporates features that customers might generally expect to see in larger full-custom or semi-custom yachts, features that are not too common in 40-foot powerboats.

One of these features is a movable aft platform, transforming a visually simple design from a fixed platform to a swim platform or a passarelle. The adoption of a movable platform allows better access to the water when enjoying watersports, or easier access to the dock when the vessel is used as a tender.
Another design feature is the addition of optional telescopic roof pillars and moving glass panels to create a convertible cabin. This allows the boat to be used either fully open or closed for privacy and comfort during bad weather.

This vessel is primarily addressed to the more discerning Owners of motor yachts or sailing yachts who are looking for a tender to their main vessels.

In addition, Swan Shadow has been conceived to easily accommodate an overnight or weekend trip to the archipelago. In keeping with the original aim of versatility and focusing on user experience, the layout also fits an additional crew cabin in the bow.

The Swan Shadow features a unique walkaround deck plan with no steps, for experiencing and enjoying the spaces in full safety. A smart bolt-on system allows for several different optional deck layouts. With a length of 15m. Catamaran Motor Yacht MY6 has two steering positions in the saloon or on the flybridge. With its dual engines of up to 2 x 353 Kw and 2 x 480 hp, its power output promises you the emotions of dynamic sailing with the benefit of an extremely stable structure, even at high speeds. Equipped with the Volvo 500 or 650 IPS system, the MY6 makes maneuvering easier with the ability to move laterally with a simple push of the joystick. You keep control of its power in all circumstances.

The designer, PierAngelo Andreani, has developed extraordinary volumes for the Catamaran Motor Yacht MY6 equivalent to those that a 20m. monohull would offer.
